How
do I register? Registration is easy.
Just give us your basic information and what
your Positive Health Pact is. Once we confirm
your registration, all you have to do is show
up and walk. (click to register)
When
is the deadline to register to walk? The
deadline to register to walk is July
16th.
If I choose to
walk, do I need to get people to sponsor me? No,
this is not that type of walk-a-thon. The focus
of this walk-a-thon is for you to make a pledge
to make healthier choices for yourself so that
we can have a healthier community. So make sure
you let us know your “Positive Health Pact.” We
do encourage you to invite your family, friends,
co-workers and neighbors to join you.
How Do I Make A
Donation? We will not be accepting donations
at this event. The focus of this event is on
health!!!
If I Don't Want to
Walk Can I Still Participate in the Event? Absolutely.
The purpose of the event is to inform and educate
the community about health issues particularly
relating to obesity and leading a healthy lifestyle.
Even if you do not walk, there will be plenty
of activities and information for you.
What Time Should
I Arrive? Walkers should arrive by 12pm
to register. The actual activities will be held
from 12pm - 4pm. The approx. time for the 2 mile
Community Health Walk is 2pm.
What Do I Bring? You
really don't need to bring anything but yourself!
What Do I Wear? Please
wear clothes to engage in light physical activity
(i.e. Sweatpants, shorts, t-shirt, sneakers.) Of
course, wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
Where Will
We Be Walking? It will be very hard
to get lost as we will be walking around the
center of campus. So you shouldn't need a map;-)
How Far
Will We be Walking? We are scheduled
to walk 2 miles. That’s about 10 times
around our track.
What Happens If
it Rains? Is There A Rain Date? The
walkathon will take place rain or shine. So if
it rains, please wear a raincoat or bring an
umbrella to protect you from the weather. However,
if it does rain the health fair portion will
be held inside the student center at Seton Hall
Can I Bring My
Children? We encourage you to bring
your children as there will be lots of information
and activities to help them start to lead a healthier
lifestyle. You are never too young to be healthy.
Where Do I Park
My Car? Their will be adequate parking
on the Seton Hall campus. Attendants will be
available to direct you to the closest available
parking.
Will the Three
Doctors Be There? At this time all Three
Doctors are scheduled to be at the event. However
we do not have any control over unforeseen circumstances.
Can I Get my Book
Autographed? Yes. The Doctors always
take time to sign a few books.
Can I Take A
Picture with The Docs? Absolutely. Time
permitting of course.
Will There Be Food? Water
and healthy snacks will be provided for the walkers.
In addition, their may be samples of food for attendees
to taste. But we will not be providing full meals,
so you should probably eat before you arrive.
